Role Overview
We are seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Industrial Operator to join our team in the Christchurch region, contributing to diverse projects across the South Island. This role entails hands-on work on a variety of industrial sites, performing specialist services including high-pressure water jetting, vacuum loading, industrial cleaning, and supporting maintenance operations. The position offers opportunities to learn from experienced professionals while upholding high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate high-pressure water jetting and vacuum loading machinery effectively.
- Perform industrial cleaning and assist with maintenance services on site.
- Ensure safety compliance while working across various industrial and commercial locations.
- Execute tasks within confined spaces and at heights following appropriate training and safety guidelines.
- Assist with equipment setup, operation, and regular maintenance checks.
- Adhere strictly to site procedures and maintain health and safety standards at all times.
- Occasionally travel to support major projects in other regions as needed.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in industrial services, especially with high-pressure water jetting and vacuum loading, is preferred.
- Possession of a Class 2 and/or Class 4 driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Good physical condition to perform demanding tasks in challenging industrial environments.
- Strong dedication to maintaining health and safety standards.
- Positive outlook, dependability, and eagerness to learn new skills.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
