This opportunity is with a design-led retail activation business that creates premium point-of-purchase solutions and memorable branded retail experiences. The company works with well-known names across FMCG, beverage, wellness, and liquor, and is recognised for high design standards, manufacturing accuracy, and an energetic founder-led culture.

The role is suited to an experienced Industrial Designer who enjoys moving quickly from concept to engineering, manufacturing, and in-store rollout. You will work on retail displays, POS solutions, and proprietary products, helping shape ideas that are visually compelling, commercially viable, and practical to manufacture.

Key Responsibilities

• Create original design directions through sketching, ideation, and creative problem-solving for retail, POS, and product projects.
• Turn concepts into 3D models, renderings, and polished presentation materials for both internal discussion and client-facing use.
• Approach each design with production, assembly, function, and cost considerations from the start.
• Develop workable solutions in SolidWorks that are technically sound and ready for engineering.
• Prepare final production drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation for manufacturing.
• Liaise with local and overseas manufacturers to maintain design intent and ensure feasible production outcomes.
• Handle several projects at different stages, from early concept through to manufacture and final delivery.
• Track schedules, quotes, prototypes, and production needs to keep work progressing efficiently.
• Ensure solutions are creative, commercially effective, and practical for both clients and end users.
• Work with internal design, engineering, and production teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Own project quality by ensuring designs are thoughtful, manufacturable, and aligned with brand and client expectations.
• Bring forward ideas, improvements, and problem-solving input throughout the design and development process.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant is a strong visual thinker with a practical approach to solving design challenges. You should enjoy transforming concepts into real products and customer experiences, stay organised while balancing multiple priorities, and work confidently both independently and in a team environment. A sharp eye for detail and a commercial, manufacturing-aware mindset are important.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3 to 5+ years of experience in industrial design; retail or POS design experience is an advantage.
• A portfolio that demonstrates concept development as well as finished manufactured work.
• Strong ability in sketching and early-stage ideation.
• SolidWorks proficiency is essential.
• Experience with rendering tools such as KeyShot, Blender, or similar software.
• Strong presentation and visual communication skills.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production methods.
• Injection moulding experience is highly desirable.
• Experience in production sourcing or offshore manufacturing would be beneficial.
