Kicking Horse Coffee is looking for a dependable Industrial Cleaner to help keep its production site clean, safe, and prepared for daily roasting and packaging operations. This is a hands-on role in a food-production setting where cleanliness, safety, and attention to detail are essential.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Following sanitation routines and scheduled cleaning plans to keep the plant hygienic and food-safe.
• Carrying out end-of-shift cleaning and sanitizing across production areas.
• Cleaning equipment and surfaces such as cooling trays, roaster exteriors, mixers, green bean loading systems, WIP bins, grinders, silos, floors, and platforms.
• Supporting roaster exhaust cleaning and preventive maintenance cleaning tasks.
• Cleaning and sanitizing packaging machines, tools, conveyors, tables, and related equipment.
• Helping with shutdown and startup tasks for industrial machinery.
• Handling basic maintenance work, including greasing bearings and assisting with equipment assembly and disassembly.
• Using equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts to reach production areas safely.
• Checking equipment and work areas and reporting sanitation, maintenance, or safety issues.
• Following all health, safety, food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Taking part in continuous improvement activities.

What You Need

• Physical capability to lift up to 25–50 lbs with team support and to repeat cleaning, lifting, pushing, twisting, climbing, standing, and bending for up to 12 hours per shift.
• Comfort working around roasting, packaging, and warehouse equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and organized work areas.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to do routine maintenance tasks.
• Understanding of workplace safety, plus a willingness to learn and follow procedures and standard work instructions.
• A reliable, accountable approach and willingness to step in wherever needed.
• Experience in industrial cleaning, food production, manufacturing, sanitation, or facility maintenance is an advantage.
• Forklift, boom lift, scissor lift, and fall protection certifications are required; training may be provided if you do not already have them.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Schedule and Work Setting

This is an on-site, full-time, permanent position in Invermere, BC. Multiple openings are available across the following shifts:

• Monday to Thursday: 4 shifts of 10 hours, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with overnight premium eligibility.
• Friday to Sunday: 3 shifts of 12 hours, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with overnight premium eligibility.

Pay

The base hourly wage for this role is $28.17. Eligible overnight shifts receive a 15% premium on top of base pay. Additional wage premiums may also be offered based on skills, shift patterns, and extra responsibilities such as training or shift lead duties.
