This leader will oversee receiving, inventory intake, material movement, scrap handling, and recycling programs, with a focus on consistency, compliance, and operational performance.
The role is central to ensuring that incoming materials are received, checked, moved, and released correctly so that manufacturing, engineering, production, and other teams have what they need when they need it. The position also drives standard procedures, accuracy in inventory, efficiency in operations, and cost control across inbound logistics.
Key Responsibilities

- Handle daily receiving activities, including material verification, inspection coordination, paperwork, and inventory system updates.
- Create and roll out uniform receiving and material-handling procedures across all sites.
- Oversee scrap control programs, including sorting, tracking, disposition, and reporting of scrap materials.
- Lead company recycling initiatives with an emphasis on sustainability, waste reduction, and environmental compliance.
- Set up and maintain controls for incoming raw materials, components, assemblies, and production-critical hardware.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to keep materials flowing smoothly.
- Track inbound logistics KPIs such as receiving accuracy, dock-to-stock time, inventory variances, and warehouse throughput.
- Drive ongoing improvements in warehouse productivity, material flow, and bottleneck reduction.
- Maintain compliance with quality standards, safety rules, environmental requirements, and internal operating procedures.
- Resolve vendor delivery issues, receiving mismatches, damaged shipments, and non-conforming material cases.
- Lead and coach warehouse supervisors, receiving staff, and material-handling teams while developing scalable processes for growth.
- Manage budgets tied to receiving operations, waste management, and recycling programs.
- Coordinate warehouse activity across sites to support production schedules and inventory needs.
- Accept that duties may expand or change based on business needs.
