Position Overview
This role focuses on elevating the customers' shopping encounters by designing and maintaining attractive, aesthetically coherent displays within a store or specific departmental area. The individual will collaborate intimately with senior visual merchandising professionals to uphold visual presentation standards that boost sales and reinforce brand identity for smaller retail spaces or designated store sections.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Work alongside maintenance and cleaning teams to ensure the store or department remains visually appealing and meets brand visual criteria.
- Guide and train store personnel on sustaining visual standards and consistent brand representation throughout the retail space.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing the shopping atmosphere to increase customer engagement and sales conversion.
- Offer suggestions for improvements informed by customer feedback and sales analytics.
- Report any issues or deviations impacting visual merchandising quality to the lead Visual Merchandiser for corrective action.
- Consistently apply brand identity and visual presentation norms in window displays and interior store layouts, incorporating commercial sales prospects.
- Execute specific brand visual merchandising guidelines and coordinate store displays aligned with brand strategy.
- Design floor plans to optimize aesthetic appeal and merchandising impact.
- Arrange merchandise, signage, fixtures, and organize the in-store layout per strategic directives.
- Document each merchandised setup change by taking photographs.
- Utilize creative lighting techniques for window displays to capture customer attention.
- Maximize placement of new product lines and re-merchandise the store to reflect emerging trends.
- Develop store layouts categorized appropriately for merchandise sections.
- Ensure items are displayed correctly according to merchandising plans.
- Gather, review, and act on merchandise feedback to refine visual merchandising strategies.
Additional Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with senior Visual Merchandisers and sales teams to meet commercial targets.
- Participate in store pre-opening activities and conduct timely visits to verify compliance with brand standards.
- Research and analyze current market trends and consumer lifestyles to inform merchandising decisions.
Desired Candidate Profile
The candidate ideally should possess one to two years of retail experience, preferably in visual merchandising or sales, to grasp store operations and consumer behavior effectively. Experience of six months to one year directly assisting in visual merchandising responsibilities—such as setting up displays, adhering to planograms, and maintaining store appearance—is highly beneficial for success in this role.
