Role overview
Florida Home Air Conditioning, part of American Residential Services, is looking for in-store appointment setters to work from inside national home improvement retail stores in St. Augustine, Florida. In this position, you will speak with shoppers about residential HVAC services, including system tune-ups, system replacements, and indoor air quality solutions, while helping arrange consultations and service appointments.
The company is a large residential services provider with more than 7,000 team members and over 45 years of experience serving homeowners with heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical needs. This opportunity is suited to people who enjoy customer interaction and want to earn hourly pay plus commission.
Compensation and schedule
The pay rate is $16 to $19 per hour, plus commission. With commission, average earnings are expected to range from $20 to $30 per hour. Work hours are available Monday through Sunday. Both part-time and full-time options are available.
What you will do
- Approach retail shoppers professionally and represent the brand with energy and confidence.
- Explain HVAC service options, upgrade opportunities, and comfort-focused improvements to potential customers.
- Generate leads and book in-home consultations, tune-ups, and related appointments with technicians and comfort advisors.
- Support customer awareness and education around home comfort services while working inside the store environment.
- This position does not involve door-to-door selling or canvassing.

Requirements
- A lively, positive personality and strong interpersonal skills.
- Comfort with approaching customers and speaking in a retail setting.
- Retail, kiosk, door-to-door, or sales experience is helpful but not mandatory.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of shifts.
- Availability on weekends and some holidays.
- Reliable transportation.
- Professional grooming and appearance that reflects the brand well.
- Willingness to attend weekly in-office meetings.
- Employment depends on passing a background check as permitted by law.
