What this role is about

As the In Stock Specialist, you will be the main contact for keeping shelves accurate, prices correct, and in-store technology working as intended. This position plays an important part in inventory visibility, shelf availability, and compliance, especially during product changes and promotional periods. You will help maintain seamless guest experiences by checking pricing, managing planogram execution, and supporting store readiness for newer technology systems.

Key duties

In this role, you will monitor electronic shelf tags and the Captana in-stock system, review product availability, and act quickly when items are out of stock. You will verify shelf placement, signage, and promotional pricing across departments, while also supporting price integrity through audits and issue resolution. During busy periods, you may also help at the front end or in other store areas.

Schedule and work conditions

This is a flexible-schedule position that may include weekends, weekdays, evenings, and holidays. The job involves a fast pace, long periods of standing or walking, repetitive hand and arm movements, and physical activity such as bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds. You may also work around extreme temperatures and use store tools and equipment including knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, and pallet jacks. Required safety wear includes an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, along with personal protective equipment.

Minimum qualifications

Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations, plus 1 to 2 years of experience leading or coordinating teams. Strong attention to detail, organization, multitasking ability, and the capacity to work quickly are important. Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred background

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Helpful experience also includes retail, culinary, or grocery work, along with familiarity using electronic shelf label systems, inventory technology, or AI-based retail tools.
