Job description
About the company
Privia Health is a national, tech-enabled physician enablement organization that works with medical groups, health plans, and health systems to help practices run more efficiently, elevate patient experience, and support physicians in delivering high-value care across both in-person and virtual care environments. Its platform combines scalable operations with cloud-based technology to lower avoidable healthcare costs, improve outcomes, and strengthen the experience of patients and providers alike.
Role overview
The Implementation & Training Associate is an important part of the implementation function and is responsible for helping launch physicians into Privia’s network. In this role, you act as the main contact, project coordinator, and trainer throughout practice onboarding and go-live. The position requires residence in CST or PST, with Texas being strongly preferred.
This is a field-based position with approximately 80% travel to support the Texas, Arizona, California, and Washington markets. Overnight travel to customers in new markets and within your assigned market may also be needed as the organization expands.
What you will do
- Work with assigned practices to launch them into Privia Medical Group, with the scope driven by provider count and practice complexity.
- Provide end-to-end project coordination, training, and operational support during implementation and go-live for physician practices using the electronic medical record and practice management/billing systems.
- Help set practices up for long-term success through cost reduction efforts and population health strategies.
- Coordinate closely with Finance, IT, Billing, Credentialing, and other internal teams to keep implementation activities moving smoothly.
- Train physicians, providers, and office staff on Privia’s workflows and technologies before launch and after launch.
- Deliver follow-up training focused on efficiency, delegation, and population health efforts.
- Handle EMR-related questions and support through the market training listserv for launched clients.
- Oversee lab-related ancillary projects, including lab launches, user adoption, and issue triage.
- Maintain a detailed project plan and provide status updates to clients and Privia leadership.
- Manage several projects concurrently while keeping timelines, dependencies, and deadlines on track.
- Navigate change effectively and align client expectations throughout the process.
- Push critical path items forward and establish aggressive implementation timelines.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
What we are looking for
- A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, though relevant equivalent experience may be considered.
- At least 1 year of experience in practice management or EHR implementation and training.
- AthenaHealth EMR experience is considered an advantage.
- Prior technical project management experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Background in a hospital or physician office setting, with understanding of physician office workflows and processes.
- Experience using project management tools.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Comfort working with clinical staff at multiple levels, including physicians and providers.
- Ability to follow HIPAA rules and maintain compliance.
Skills and personal strengths
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving, changing environment.
- Strong teamwork and customer-first mindset.
- Ability to create clear value for internal and external stakeholders.
- Solid project coordination and execution capability.
- Structured, process-driven approach with the ability to close out projects.
- Conflict handling and problem-solving ability.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Self-starting and resourceful work style.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, especially in client-facing situations.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Good technical aptitude.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 per year, excluding bonuses and benefits. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 10%.
Benefits mentioned include medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and additional wellness programs. Base pay may vary depending on experience, education, and location.
