Job Overview
Hospitals in the UAE are looking to hire compassionate, highly capable ICU Nurses to support intensive care patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. In this role, you will deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, closely observe their condition, administer treatment, and work alongside doctors and other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients thoroughly by reviewing vital signs, medical history, and physical examination findings, then record the information accurately.
- Give prescribed medicines, oversee IV lines, and carry out required procedures and clinical interventions.
- Track and interpret cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, and other essential patient indicators.
- Work in coordination with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the wider care team to build and follow individualized treatment plans.
- Offer reassurance, guidance, and education to patients and their families while responding to their questions and concerns.
- Keep patient charts and clinical documentation precise, complete, and up to date.
- Take part in ward rounds and contribute to smooth care coordination and delivery.
- Stay informed about current evidence, new developments, and best practices in critical care nursing.
Requirements
- Active nursing license and at least 2 years of experience working as an ICU Nurse.
- Strong understanding of critical care nursing standards, procedures, and protocols.
- Sound clinical judgment and the ability to make decisions confidently in high-pressure situations.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for working with a multidisciplinary group.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized.
- Compassionate, empathetic approach when supporting patients and families.
- Ability to handle several patients and responsibilities at the same time.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
