Role overview
A growing and respected law firm in Manhattan is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator to support its collaborative HR function. This position is a strong fit for someone with around two or more years of HR experience who wants to develop further in a fast-moving, people-centered workplace.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new employees.
- Support employee relations activities and day-to-day HR service needs.
- Maintain accurate personnel files and related documentation.
- Handle HR communications and respond to employee questions.
- Assist with recruiting logistics, including interview scheduling.
- Manage performance review administration and related follow-up.
- Support the summer internship program.
- Help organize events and employee engagement activities.
- Contribute to compliance-related work and reporting tasks.
Candidate profile
The right candidate should bring strong organization, attention to detail, professionalism, and a polished service mindset. Comfort with sensitive and confidential information is important, along with the ability to juggle several priorities at once. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for working effectively with employees across all levels.
Experience preference
Previous experience in a law firm or professional services setting is strongly preferred.
Work location and schedule
This role is based in Manhattan, New York City, and follows a hybrid work arrangement.
Compensation
The base salary for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 per year.
