Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is for a practical, hands-on HR Business Partner to support North America for an expanding global technology company with roughly 450 employees. The assignment is a 6-month contract and combines daily HR support with higher-level people and organizational work. You will work closely with business leaders to shape people initiatives, support employees, and help the company move quickly in a fast-growing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with managers and senior leaders to advise on employee relations, performance matters, hiring, and routine HR needs.
  • Act as a trusted partner on talent planning and organizational initiatives.
  • Handle employee relations activities such as resolving conflicts and supporting performance management.
  • Run core HR processes including performance review cycles, compensation activities, and talent development programs.
  • Coordinate several HR initiatives and projects while keeping pace in a busy, evolving environment.
  • Partner with global HR and talent teams to support shared programs and priorities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that strengthen HR efficiency and operations.
  • Support change management and broader business transformation efforts.
  • Help ensure adherence to employment legislation and HR policies across North America.
  • Contribute to or lead HR projects related to payroll, benefits, and training, including management of benefits renewals.
  • Support employee engagement efforts and regional communications.

Required experience and skills

The role calls for strong HR generalist experience across HR operations, employee relations, performance management, and talent acquisition. You should be comfortable handling several priorities and projects at the same time, and have a track record of coaching and influencing managers. Strong written and verbal communication skills, solid interpersonal ability, and comfort working through change in a high-growth or fast-moving setting are important. Experience using HR systems and adapting to new technologies is also needed.

Preferred background

It would be an advantage to have experience in a technology or SaaS environment, exposure to supporting multiple regions or global teams, prior work with benefits renewals and compensation cycles, and a background in scaling organizations.
