Overview

This position is responsible for managing the Human Resources function for the Institutional Equities division at Avendus Group, operating from Chennai. The role requires overseeing the complete employee lifecycle and partnering closely with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business heads to understand recruitment needs and develop effective workforce plans.
  • Lead end-to-end hiring activities covering lateral, leadership, and campus recruitment.
  • Manage sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, and onboarding processes comprehensively.
  • Establish and nurture talent pipelines through market research, networking, referrals, and partnerships with external agencies and educational institutions.
  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor on organization design, manpower planning, and optimization.
  • Assist managers with talent decisions, team structuring, and succession planning.
  • Provide insights on market trends, talent availability, compensation standards, and recruitment competitiveness.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing employee integration, retention, and productivity.
  • Support performance management, goal setting, and talent review frameworks.
  • Partner to identify key talent and develop growth plans.
  • Analyze attrition data and recommend strategies to improve retention.
  • Champion employee engagement and enrich overall employee experience throughout their journey.
  • Ensure HR operations comply with corporate policies and relevant legal requirements.
  • Maintain recruitment analytics, forecasts, and management reporting.
  • Contribute to HR projects focused on organizational effectiveness and process enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Postgraduate degree such as MBA or PGDM in Human Resources or related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of HR experience emphasizing talent acquisition and business partnership roles.
  • Demonstrated ability in direct sourcing and effective stakeholder management.
  • Well-versed in talent market dynamics, sourcing strategies, and recruitment best practices.
