Overview
The Human Resources Associate plays a key role in delivering administrative and operational support within the HR department, ensuring smooth management of essential HR duties. Responsibilities encompass recruitment assistance, onboarding processes, benefits management, regulatory compliance, and maintenance of accurate employee records and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate recruitment efforts through creating and posting job listings on appropriate platforms, managing candidate communications, scheduling interviews, and preparing new hire related documents.
- Coordinate employee onboarding activities, including orientation sessions and necessary documentation completion, and oversee offboarding procedures ensuring proper updates and documentation.
- Maintain and audit HRIS data, ensuring employee records are precise and updating systems regularly. Assist with performance management module setup and communication.
- Support employee benefits enrollment and communications such as new hire orientations and open enrollment processes. Liaise with benefits providers to resolve employee-related concerns and handle benefits-related audits and reporting.
- Manage employee leave tracking, facilitate FMLA processes, coordinate ADA accommodations, handle workers' compensation claims, COBRA paperwork, and collaborate with payroll for accurate recording.
- Assist employees with HR tools and inquiries, offering clear guidance on policies and programs.
- Ensure compliance by monitoring training, certifications, proper file maintenance, I-9 documentation, and audit activities.
- Help administer and distribute the Staff Handbook and support effective communication of HR policies and updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline is required.
- At least one year of relevant HR or administrative experience is necessary.
- Certification such as SHRM or PHR is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are vital.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and manage sensitive information effectively.
- Experience providing excellent customer service to internal staff.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
Compensation and Work Schedule
The position offers a yearly salary of $50,000 with a 35-hour workweek.
