Human Resource Officer

About the Role

Samospharma Limited is seeking a Human Resource Officer to assist with various HR functions such as recruitment, performance evaluations, employee relations, record keeping, training and development, payroll processing, and ensuring compliance with labor regulations and company policies. This position plays a vital role in maintaining smooth HR operations and fostering a positive workplace atmosphere in Accra, Ghana.

Key Duties

• Conduct recruitment activities and manage onboarding processes for new employees.
• Keep job descriptions and staff records current and accurate.
• Facilitate performance management and appraisal systems.
• Address employee grievances and assist in resolving conflicts.
• Organize and coordinate training programs to enhance staff capabilities.
• Support payroll processing and benefits administration tasks.
• Ensure adherence to labor laws and corporate HR policies.
• Encourage employee engagement, wellbeing, and workplace safety.
• Prepare HR reports and metrics to support management decisions.
• Assist in workforce planning and HR strategic initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline.
• Professional HR certification is a plus.
• At least two years of experience in HR roles.
• Familiarity with labor laws and human resource best practices.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, with strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
