Job Overview
The HSE Support Officer role serves as an entry-level position aimed at nurturing UAE Nationals by offering hands-on experience in fundamental Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) functions. This role aids in enforcing HSE policies, monitoring compliance, and facilitating daily safety operations across various locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the execution of HSE policies, procedures, and safety protocols throughout various sites and departments.
- Help carry out safety inspections, walkthroughs, and hazard spotting activities on-site.
- Support the documentation, reporting, and initial investigation of incidents under guidance.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of safety checks, training logs, permits, and compliance documents.
- Organize and assist with HSE training sessions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to PPE requirements and promote safe working practices.
- Participate in risk assessments and monitor corrective and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with site teams to guarantee compliance with local and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to the preparation of fundamental HSE reports, data statistics, and performance tracking dashboards.
- Provide operational and administrative assistance to the HSE department as directed by the direct manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- Educational Requirement: Minimum High School Diploma; a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related disciplines is preferred.
- Experience Level: 0 to 2 years in HSE, safety management, site coordination, or compliance roles; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Certifications: Basic HSE training, such as IOSH or NEBOSH, is preferred but not mandatory.
- Nationality: Applications limited to UAE Nationals only.
- Working Schedule: Four days per week, five hours each day.
Skills and Competencies
- Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety principles.
- Understanding of risk assessment and hazard identification methods.
- Strong observational skills and ability to report accurately.
- Attention to detail with precise documentation capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to adhere to established procedures and compliance requirements.
