About the Role
We are looking for a committed Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Officer to spearhead and enhance our HSE frameworks across operations. The ideal candidate must have practical experience managing integrated safety systems and business continuity plans to maintain a compliant and secure workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, execute, and uphold HSE management systems complying with legal, company, and industry standards.
- Ensure organizational adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other applicable certifications.
- Perform routine site evaluations, audits, and hazard assessments to minimize risks.
- Lead investigation processes for incidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective strategies.
- Conduct HSE training sessions, toolbox discussions, and awareness campaigns for staff and contractors.
- Track and report HSE performance indicators to foster ongoing improvements.
- Coordinate emergency response and preparedness activities, including business continuity management.
- Engage with regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and local authorities as necessary.
- Promote a robust safety culture by encouraging employee participation in health and safety programs.
Requirements
- At least five years of hands-on experience developing and applying EHS and integrated management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a similar discipline.
- NEBOSH International Diploma (Level 6) or an equivalent health and safety qualification is essential.
- Possession of a valid UAE driving license is compulsory.
- Experience with or knowledge of Business Continuity Management (BCM) is advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of local health, safety, and environmental regulations alongside international standards.
- Strong skills in communication, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
