Job description
About the company and project
ACCIONA is an international organisation focused on regenerative infrastructure and projects that aim to create meaningful social impact. With more than 41,500 people working across over 40 countries and five continents, the company is driven by a mission to help build a better planet.
The Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) project is being delivered by ACEREZ, a collaboration between ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy. ACEREZ has been named the network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the transmission network for the zone. In parallel, the ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV) will handle the design and construction of the transmission project. The network is planned to provide at least 4.5 gigawatts of new capacity from 2028 and support the connection of 7.7 gigawatts of wind and solar generation, enough to supply more than 2 million homes annually.
Role overview
This position is for an experienced HR Truck Driver to join the Laydown Team on a major clean energy infrastructure project in the Central-West Orana REZ. The role supports site logistics, movement of materials, and deliveries across laydown areas and construction locations.
The role follows a remote project roster of 14 days on and 7 days off. Bus transport is currently available from Sydney only, with pick-up and drop-off points between Sydney and the Mudgee region. Candidates living elsewhere in NSW must arrange and pay for their own travel if they are not on the Sydney transport route. This is not a FIFO arrangement. Applicants outside NSW will need to organise and fund travel to Sydney or directly to site if selected.

- Assist with laydown yard and logistics activities
- Load, unload and secure construction materials safely
- Transport plant, tools and general consumables used on site
- Carry out daily pre-start inspections and basic vehicle upkeep
- Coordinate closely with logistics and site teams to help deliver the project
- Follow road laws, site procedures and safety requirements at all times
Required experience and qualifications
- A current HR (Heavy Rigid) licence is mandatory
- Between 2 and 5 years of truck driving experience is preferred, with civil construction experience highly desirable
- Background in construction or project logistics is strongly regarded
- Strong awareness of safety practices and load restraint compliance is essential
- White Card is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in remote, roster-based project settings
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical assessment and police check
