Role overview
This is a chance to join a fast-moving, successful business in Drogheda as an HR Manager. The position suits a practical HR professional who can take ownership of core HR activity, support managers and employees throughout the employee journey, and help improve how the organisation works day to day.
Key points
- Standalone HR leadership role within a busy, expanding FMCG environment
- Responsible for the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration
- Opportunity to shape HR processes, culture, and ways of working across several functions and locations
What you will do
- Work with business leaders and line managers to provide practical HR advice and operational support
- Oversee the complete employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through probation, performance, absence, employee relations, and exit processes
- Serve as the main contact for HR queries, policy guidance, and documentation
- Keep HR systems, trackers, and reports up to date and ensure information is accurate for business decisions
- Draft, update, and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with legal and compliance requirements
- Assist with organisational change and ongoing process improvements
- Liaise with payroll and internal stakeholders to ensure HR data is delivered correctly and on time
- Develop strong working relationships across the business and operate as a trusted HR partner
What we are looking for
- A third-level qualification in HR, Business, or a closely related field
- Background as an HR Manager, standalone HR Generalist, or People Manager
- Proven experience handling employee relations and applying best-practice HR in a demanding setting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical abilities
- Good knowledge of Irish employment law and HR compliance requirements
- A commercially aware, well-organised approach with the ability to manage several priorities at once
- Comfortable working independently and influencing stakeholders at different levels
Offer and working arrangement
The role comes with a competitive salary and permanent full-time employment in a growing FMCG business. Working hours are flexible, typically 8/9 to 4/5 Monday to Friday. You will also gain exposure to a broad HR remit, multi-site operations, a supportive team culture, and the opportunity to influence people strategy and organisational culture.
