Job description
About the Role
Stage 3 Separation, LLC is hiring a versatile Human Resources Generalist for a busy, high-change environment. This position is best suited to an HR professional who enjoys handling a wide range of responsibilities, from hiring and onboarding to employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, training support, and employee development.
The role supports employees across the United States and Canada and requires someone who can move comfortably between strategic HR work and everyday operational tasks. The right candidate will be a dependable partner to both employees and leaders, bringing strong business understanding, good judgment, a sharp eye for detail, and a genuine commitment to improving the employee experience.
This is not a narrowly focused specialist role. It is intended for a well-rounded HR professional who values variety, adapts quickly, takes initiative, and wants to make a meaningful contribution across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

- Run new hire onboarding and orientation sessions in both in-person and virtual formats.
- Draft offer letters, employment agreements, and related onboarding paperwork.
- Arrange pre-employment checks such as background screening and drug testing, and monitor completion/results.
- Make sure all pre-hire requirements and paperwork are completed properly.
- Keep personnel files, I-9 records, and onboarding documentation organized and compliant with company policy and legal requirements.
- Refresh onboarding decks and materials so they reflect current procedures, policies, and organizational updates.
- Act as a main HR contact for employees and managers on policy questions, workplace concerns, and procedure guidance.
- Support employee relations cases, investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action processes.
- Help maintain a positive workplace experience while reinforcing company culture and core values.
- Advise managers on employee performance matters and day-to-day workplace issues.
- Administer benefit programs and respond to employee questions related to benefits.
- Assist with annual open enrollment and benefits communication activities.
- Maintain accurate employee information in HRIS and PEO systems, with attention to compliance and data quality.
- Process employee lifecycle changes such as promotions, transfers, pay adjustments, status updates, and terminations.
- Educate and enroll new hires in company benefits and retirement plans.
- Support new hire training programs and broader employee learning initiatives.
- Track training participation and completion, and maintain accurate records.
- Update training presentations and materials using Canva and other learning tools when needed.
- Maintain employee records across HR and payroll platforms from hire through separation.
- Work with the PEO to support accurate employee data handling and payroll processing.
- Help administer leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and other leave requests.
- Monitor attendance data and guide employees and managers on attendance and leave policies.
- Represent and promote the company’s culture, values, and employee experience.
- Model professionalism, integrity, and a positive, team-first mindset.
- Support organizational initiatives and contribute to a high-performance work environment.
- Plan, coordinate, and take part in employee engagement events, recognition programs, and company activities that strengthen morale and culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational ability.
- Comfort handling confidential matters and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Solid problem-solving, critical-thinking, and conflict-resolution skills.
- A collaborative, positive, and professional approach to teamwork.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a busy environment.
- Capability to work independently while handling several projects and priorities at once.
- Good knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and employee relations fundamentals.
