Role Overview
The HR Data Analyst will transform workforce and organisational data into actionable insights supporting informed people-related business decisions. This role collaborates closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to provide analysis, reporting, forecasting, and evidence-based recommendations aimed at enhancing organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee results. Presenting complex data findings to diverse audiences is also a key part of this position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Aggregate group HR data from multiple sources in the absence of a central HRIS system.
- Validate and maintain data accuracy by auditing and correcting errors.
- Identify workforce trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement through data analysis.
- Generate both scheduled and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership review.
- Convey complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and suggestions.
- Facilitate decision-making with robust data interpretation and analysis.
- Design, manage, and improve dashboards and reporting tools, automating processes when feasible.
- Monitor key performance indicators related to workforce and organisational metrics.
- Support projects including HRIS implementation and enhancement efforts.
- Assist in workforce planning via data analysis, trend spotting, forecasting, and scenario modelling.
- Contribute analysis to aid budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic decisions.
- Ensure ongoing data quality, conduct audits, resolve discrepancies, and uphold data governance standards.
- Cultivate a culture emphasizing data integrity and evidence-based decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum high school diploma; HR qualifications and quantitative or data analytics certifications are advantageous.
- Strong experience handling HR data, metrics, reporting, and business intelligence at a proficient level.
- Proven ability to independently create finished HR metrics and dashboards.
Preferred Skills
- Competence in SQL, Python, or equivalent analytical platforms is beneficial.
- Experience with forecasting, modelling, or workforce planning activities.
- Advanced Excel capabilities, with proficiency handling large datasets.
- Knowledge of data governance and quality management principles.
- Familiarity with data visualization/reporting software like Power BI or Tableau.
- Meticulous attention to data accuracy and detail.
Language and Soft Skills
- Fluency in written and spoken business English.
- Professional and responsible representation of the company in all interactions.
- Good judgment in managing priorities and escalation of issues; mentoring less experienced colleagues may be required.
Working Conditions and Location
This position requires presence in the London office near Paddington at least once weekly. It involves primarily desk-based work within a fast-moving international environment and collaboration across multiple countries, functions, and time zones.
