Overview
This opportunity is for an experienced HR professional located in Australia, focused on strengthening people processes and ensuring compliance standards are upheld. Key Responsibilities
- Manage recruitment end-to-end: job advertisements, candidate evaluation, interviews, reference verification, and preparing employment documents.
- Oversee thorough onboarding that includes documentation, training, and orientation activities for new hires.
- Ensure compliance tracking for certifications, background checks, insurance, and workforce obligations.
- Maintain meticulous records related to compliance, training, and employee data for audit readiness.
- Coordinate internal and external professional training and eLearning programs.
- Handle workforce scheduling, including rosters, shift adjustments, leave coverage, and operational coordination.
- Conduct internal audits on employee and organizational documentation to identify improvements and maintain compliance.
- Support initiatives for employee engagement such as check-ins, feedback mechanisms, recognition efforts, and communication.
- Assist in updating policies, compliance reports, and documentation aligning with relevant industry standards.
- Collaborate with external training providers to foster professional development and workforce capabilities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least three years of pertinent experience in HR, compliance, or workforce coordination within disability, community services, or healthcare sectors.
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks including the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and Australian workplace laws.
- Hands-on experience managing onboarding, training logistics, employee documentation, and compliance monitoring.
- Familiarity with workforce awards and employment standards, especially the SCHADS Award.
- Proven skills in conducting internal audits, report preparation, and maintaining precise records for management review.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, emphasizing a collaborative, people-centered approach.
- Effective organizational abilities to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines remotely.
- Comfortable leveraging HR systems, compliance tools, and digital platforms to streamline workforce processes.
- Proactive, detail-focused, with a dedication to enhancing operational efficiency and the employee experience.
