Overview
StoryToys is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to support teams across Ireland. The right person will bring strong confidence in Irish and English employment law, along with solid HR best practices. In this role, you will be a dependable advisor to business leaders, helping shape people-focused initiatives that advance business objectives while keeping local compliance front and center.
Strategic HR Partnership
- Act as the main HR point of contact for managers and employees in Ireland, offering guidance on all people-related issues.
- Work with business leaders to design and roll out HR plans that support wider organisational priorities.
- Advise on organisational structure, workforce planning, and change-related activity.
Employee Relations and Compliance
- Make sure HR practices align with Irish employment legislation, collective agreements, and local regulatory requirements.
- Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance cases, with sound judgement and professionalism.
- Keep current with Irish employment law and convert legal updates into practical HR policies and processes.
Talent, Performance, and Development
- Support performance management activities, including feedback discussions, appraisals, and career development planning.
- Partner with leaders on talent growth, succession planning, and retention approaches.
- Coordinate closely with the Talent Acquisition team to support effective onboarding and integration of new hires.
HR Projects and Broader Initiatives
- Lead or contribute to HR projects such as DE&I programmes, culture and engagement initiatives, and organisational change efforts.
- Contribute to global HR initiatives by adapting them to suit the Irish business context.
- Use HR data and analytics to generate insights and support ongoing improvement.
Qualifications
- Background as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or in a similar role within Ireland.
- Strong working knowledge of Irish employment law.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with leaders and employees.
- Experience managing complex employee relations matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Good understanding of HR processes across the full employee lifecycle.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Comfort using HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office tools.
