Job description
Role overview
You will join a fast-growing global biotechnology organization that is advancing therapeutic discovery through advanced gene-editing and preclinical research capabilities. Its platforms and services support partners across antibody discovery, immuno-oncology, autoimmune conditions, neuroscience, and additional therapeutic areas. As the company scales rapidly, it is looking for a driven HR Associate with a talent acquisition focus to help build teams across scientific, business development, and operational functions.
What this role involves
This position is centered on end-to-end recruitment support across several departments, with particular emphasis on scientific and business development hiring. The role calls for someone who can confidently represent the organization to candidates, understand biotechnology-specific work, and assess both technical capability and overall fit with the team. Success in this role depends on being organized, proactive, polished, and comfortable working in a high-growth environment with demanding hiring targets.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the hiring process from start to finish, including posting roles, reviewing applications, screening candidates, arranging interviews, checking references, coordinating offers, and assisting with onboarding.
- Support recruitment efforts for scientific, business development, and operations roles across the company.
- Maintain professional communication with candidates, hiring managers, and outside recruiting partners throughout the process.
- Build a solid understanding of the company’s business, research platforms, and scientific functions in order to recruit effectively.
- Keep recruitment records, HR databases, and employee files current and accurate.
- Help with onboarding and exit processes, making sure required documents are completed properly and on time.
- Contribute to employer branding, LinkedIn-based sourcing, and development of talent pipelines.
- Explain HR policies, procedures, and other employment-related details to employees when needed.
- Provide support on HR administrative projects, employee activities, and other operational tasks as assigned.
Requirements and preferred background
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A background in biology or the life sciences is strongly preferred, along with a genuine interest in biotechnology and scientific recruiting. The role also requires excellent organization, communication, and relationship-building skills, plus the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a busy environment. A professional, positive, and detail-focused approach is important. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and prior exposure to an ATS or HR software system is considered an advantage. Experience in biotech, CRO, pharmaceutical, or scientific recruiting settings is preferred. Mandarin language skills are a plus.
