Role Summary
The Houseperson supports the housekeeping department by helping keep guest areas clean, organized, and ready for use. This position assists with room upkeep, linen and supply stocking, guest requests, and general hotel cleanliness.
Key Duties
- Assist with cleaning and upkeep of guest rooms, including replacing bed linens, vacuuming carpets, and dusting furniture.
- Restock storage closets with fresh linens, towels, and other housekeeping supplies.
- Help staff and guests with requests such as extra towels or bed-making assistance.
- Inspect hotel areas regularly to make sure they remain clean and properly maintained.
- Escalate maintenance concerns to the housekeeping supervisor when needed.
Qualifications
- A warm, friendly, and upbeat attitude is important for this role.
- Applicants should have a solid work ethic and be able to perform well both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service abilities are required.
- Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
- The job requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- A valid driver’s license must be available as proof.
