Position Overview

Join our Rotorua, New Zealand team as a Housekeeping Team Leader, where a minimum guarantee of 30 working hours per week ensures job stability. This role is essential in upholding our vision by maintaining impeccable service and cleanliness standards throughout the resort premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean hotel rooms including bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and living areas, adhering to detailed housekeeping standards.
• Assign and oversee the workload among team members to guarantee timely room turnover and readiness.
• Manage housekeeping inventory, monitor stock levels, and promptly report discrepancies to the Housekeeping Manager.
• Conduct quality inspections of rooms and coordinate with the Front Office for room clearance and occupancy.
• Collaborate with the Housekeeping Manager to design and implement weekly staff rosters.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed to protect guests and their belongings.
• Address guest inquiries and complaints effectively to ensure complete satisfaction, escalate unresolved issues to management for further action.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of NZQF Level 1 qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
• A minimum of three years' experience in a similar housekeeping or team leadership role within the hotel industry.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Knowledgeable about Workplace Health and Safety practices, especially regarding safe handling of chemicals.
• Excellent communication capabilities.
• Ability to operate both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and school holiday periods.
