Role Overview

As a Housekeeping Coordinator, you will uphold departmental standards, oversee operations across multiple sections including linen, uniform, public areas, and storerooms, and ensure daily maintenance of superior service. Responsibilities include inventory management, staff scheduling, supervising housekeeping associates, conducting quality inspections aligned with Forbes, LQA, and brand benchmarks, and maintaining cleanliness and safety within assigned areas.

Key Duties

• Ensure full compliance with housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards.
• Control and supervise various housekeeping sections including linen room, uniform room, floors, public spaces, offices, and storage areas.
• Manage weekly and monthly inventory reporting for supplies such as linen, amenities, and cleaning products.
• Oversee housekeeping pantry management and maintain accurate distribution records.
• Assign tasks fairly to housekeeping associates and ensure adherence to uniform and grooming standards.
• Maintain associate records including attendance, uniforms, and room history; coordinate rosters and timesheets ensuring adequate shift coverage.
• Assist floor associates in preparing rooms for quality inspections and conduct final room checks.
• Carry out inspections ensuring vacant rooms meet high-quality standards.
• Enforce procedures for lost and found items among housekeeping members.
• Track laundry linen and uniform movements ensuring sufficient guest supplies on floors.
• Maintain housekeeping equipment in proper working condition and coordinate necessary maintenance.
• Keep housekeeping work areas clean and organized including flower arrangements and deliveries.
• Support supervisors with daily checklists and maintain accuracy documentation.
• Engage professionally and courteously with guests, associates, and community members.
• Train and motivate associates to adhere to Forbes, LQA, and brand standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety across housekeeping zones, public areas, restaurants, and offices, complying with hotel standards.
• Communicate departmental information to relevant stakeholders timely.
• Assist with room assignments, cover supervisory duties as needed, and manage spring cleaning schedules.
• Liaise with reception/duty managers regarding room status and report security concerns.
• Verify daily staffing matches occupancy demands and facilitate smooth shift transitions.
• Report health and safety hazards promptly and organize safety training and meetings.
• Take over supervisory responsibilities during supervisors' absence and manage interdepartmental queries.
• Participate in housekeeping meetings and follow emergency protocols as per company guidelines.
