About Niagara Ina Grafton Gage Village

Niagara Ina Grafton Gage Village, commonly known as the Village, has provided senior services in Ontario since 1958. The community includes 338 rental/lease apartments and 47 bungalows offering independent and assisted living, plus 40 Long Term Care suites. Amenities include a chapel, library, auditorium with shuffleboard courts, bowling lanes, billiard room, therapeutic pool, lounges, atrium, and café.

Position Overview

We seek dedicated housekeepers to join our Environmental Services team. The role involves routine, preventive, and remedial cleaning of various areas such as common spaces, elevators, meeting rooms, washrooms, hallways, garbage rooms, the auditorium, pool area, pool changing rooms, and apartments. Tasks include mopping, vacuuming floors, cleaning walls, windows, ceilings, and furniture according to schedules.

Work Schedule and Compensation

This is a temporary part-time position with varied schedule:

  • Week 1: Monday 7-11 AM, Friday 8 AM-4 PM, Saturday and Sunday 7-11 AM
  • Week 2: Monday 8 AM-4 PM, Friday 7 AM-2 PM, Saturday 7-11 AM

Starting wage is $22.77 per hour.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education.
  • Previous housekeeping or custodial experience, preferably in health care or hospitality sectors.
  • Strong teamwork, organizational abilities, and time management skills.
  • Positive attitude toward change and learning; empathetic and optimistic mindset.
  • Successful candidates must clear a Police Reference Check suitable for work with vulnerable populations and complete a 2-step TB Mantoux skin test before starting.
