Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and uphold high standards within guest accommodations and common areas at our remote resort location in British Columbia, Canada. This role requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and the ability to work harmoniously with others in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Duties

  • Maintain daily cleanliness of guest rooms, including stayover and departure cleans.
  • Clean staff and guest common areas, offices, and chalets ranging from 4 to 9 bedrooms.
  • Perform turndown service in guest rooms to enhance guest experience.
  • Manage washing, drying, and ironing of all resort and guest laundry.
  • Complete cleaning checklists on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Support the restaurant team when needed by clearing tables, filling water, polishing glassware, and assisting with food service; training will be provided.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Adhere to all resort safety and hygiene standards and policies.
  • Report maintenance issues, deep cleaning needs, and any health, safety, or security concerns promptly to supervisors.
  • Respect guest privacy and follow protocols for handling lost and found items.
  • Operate consistently according to company policies, procedures, quality standards, and service expectations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Self-motivated with a positive, driven attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and integrity.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Comfortable working in a high-paced environment.
  • Physically capable of performing repetitive movements including walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 40 pounds throughout the day.
  • High adaptability and ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Positive attitude towards routine tasks such as cleaning, making beds, vacuuming, stocking, laundering, and folding linens.
  • Previous housekeeping experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • WHMIS training is a plus but not required.
  • Willingness to live and work in a remote, scenic mountain area seasonally.
