Job description
Role Overview
Gravity Haus is seeking housekeeping team members, referred to as "Haus’keepers," to help create a clean, welcoming, and comfortable experience for guests and members. The role focuses on keeping guest rooms and shared spaces maintained to brand standards while working with a high degree of independence, efficiency, and care.
Employment Details
This is a seasonal opportunity running from June 7 through September 30. The hiring plan includes 4 Housekeepers and 1 Laundry Attendant. The role is offered as full-time or part-time work, with shifts generally scheduled from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week.
Key Duties
- Carry out thorough room cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, replacing linens and guest supplies, and preparing rooms for arrival.
- Keep hallways, common spaces, and other assigned service areas clean and orderly.
- Escalate maintenance concerns, guest issues, and lost-and-found items to the appropriate supervisor without delay.
- Use cleaning products, tools, and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Replenish housekeeping carts each day and maintain tidy, well-organized storage and supply areas.
- Complete assigned work with little supervision while showing initiative, dependability, and strong attention to detail.
- Represent Gravity Haus professionally and provide courteous service when interacting with guests and members during the course of work.
- Support laundry operations when needed, including washing, drying, and folding linen and terry items.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant can work on their own, consistently meet room-cleaning targets, and maintain a strong standard of quality. Comfort with verbal and written instructions is important, as is the ability to adapt to weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal periods. Prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality is an advantage, though it is not mandatory.
Physical Expectations
This job involves being on your feet for long periods, typically up to 8 to 10 hours, along with frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and reaching. You must also be able to regularly lift, carry, or push up to 30 lbs and handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
