About the Role
University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to ensure a high standard of environmental and catering services for patients, visitors, and the ward team. This role is integral to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable hospital environment. The Trust is a large, modern healthcare provider across two sites in Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford, serving approximately three million people and recognized for its facilities, teaching, and research. Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate environmental and catering services to meet the needs of patients, visitors, and the ward team.
- Ensure the delivery of cleaning, catering, and minor maintenance services according to patient needs as directed by the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.
- Monitor the quality of services provided, identify deficiencies, and suggest improvements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment within the ward area.
- Act as an integral part of the ward team, contributing to overall patient care.
Requirements
- Ability to coordinate and manage various facility services.
- Understanding of hygiene and safety standards in a healthcare setting.
- Good communication skills to liaise with ward staff and report issues.
- Attention to detail in monitoring service quality.
- Willingness to follow instructions from senior nursing staff.

Please note that University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is currently unable to offer visa sponsorship for roles classified as Band 2 to Band 4. This is due to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations regarding minimum salary and skill thresholds for these positions.
