Housekeeper

About the Role

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to ensure a high standard of environmental and catering services for patients, visitors, and the ward team. This role is integral to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable hospital environment. The Trust is a large, modern healthcare provider across two sites in Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford, serving approximately three million people and recognized for its facilities, teaching, and research. Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate environmental and catering services to meet the needs of patients, visitors, and the ward team.
• Ensure the delivery of cleaning, catering, and minor maintenance services according to patient needs as directed by the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.
• Monitor the quality of services provided, identify deficiencies, and suggest improvements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment within the ward area.
• Act as an integral part of the ward team, contributing to overall patient care.

Requirements

• Ability to coordinate and manage various facility services.
• Understanding of hygiene and safety standards in a healthcare setting.
• Good communication skills to liaise with ward staff and report issues.
• Attention to detail in monitoring service quality.
• Willingness to follow instructions from senior nursing staff.

Additional Information

Please note that University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is currently unable to offer visa sponsorship for roles classified as Band 2 to Band 4. This is due to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations regarding minimum salary and skill thresholds for these positions.
