Position overview

This full-time housekeeping role supports a PACE program setting by helping maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for participants, visitors, and staff. The work must be carried out in line with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the program’s standards for safety and care.

What you will do

  • Keep assigned spaces clean and orderly according to established housekeeping procedures.
  • Monitor supply levels, request additional items when needed, and handle transport and storage appropriately.
  • Apply safety practices at all times, including correct handling of biohazardous materials.
  • Maintain storage rooms and supply areas so they remain secure and well organized.
  • Help create and preserve a calm, respectful atmosphere for participants, guests, and coworkers.
  • Work from assigned schedules and coordinate with other team members as needed.
  • Take part in required training and consistently follow compliance, confidentiality, and ethical expectations.
  • Support other departments when needed and respond appropriately in emergency situations.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
  • Prior experience of at least 1 year working with older adults or frail populations is preferred.
  • Strong collaboration, flexibility, and customer service abilities are important.
  • The ability to work on your own with good judgment is needed.

Physical and work conditions

  • The role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • You should be able to adjust to shifting priorities and a fast-moving work environment.
  • Good vision, hearing, and manual dexterity are necessary to complete daily tasks.
  • This position is primarily indoors and includes regular physical activity throughout the day.
