About the role

The Mill on the Exe is a modern pub with guest rooms, set in a peaceful riverside spot just outside Exeter city centre. Surrounded by gardens near Blackaller Weir and the Millstone footbridge, the setting offers a calm atmosphere while still being close to the city and its attractions.

We are hiring a Housekeeper to become part of a small, supportive team. In this role, you will help guests feel genuinely welcomed and at ease during their stay, while ensuring that the rooms are kept clean, fresh, and well presented. Previous experience is not essential, as training and support will be provided for the right person.

What you will do

  • Offer guests a friendly and reassuring welcome so they feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.
  • Maintain guest rooms to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Help keep the front-of-house operation running smoothly as part of the wider team.
  • Contribute to a tidy, well-kept environment throughout the property.
