Position Overview

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly hospital environment. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning duties across different areas of the facility to ensure high standards of hygiene and sanitation.

Duties

• Perform cleaning tasks in various hospital areas, including patient rooms, offices, classrooms, common areas, restrooms, and food service spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, and vacuuming hallways, stairs, and office spaces.
• Safely and correctly utilize cleaning chemicals and equipment according to established standards.
• Undertake other assigned duties and responsibilities as needed to support facility cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is preferred.
• Prior housekeeping experience is advantageous, particularly within a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in operating housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaners, buffers, battery-operated equipment, mops, and carpet cleaning machinery.
• Basic reading and numerical comprehension skills are necessary.
• Effective customer service skills are required.
