Position Summary

The House Person - Suites supports the hotel by keeping public spaces clean and sanitized, responding to guest needs, and, when required, assisting with guest transportation. Areas under this role include the lobby, restrooms, gift shop, guest laundry area, staff break room, pool area, fitness room, business center, stairways, corridors, exterior entrances, and parking areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize all public areas on a daily, ongoing basis
  • Keep spaces orderly by dusting, vacuuming, and removing trash
  • Maintain exterior areas by collecting litter, cleaning ashtrays, and monitoring the dumpster area
  • Replenish linen closets with amenities and supplies for room attendants, and deliver items directly when needed
  • Empty room attendant carts of used linen and waste
  • Remove marks from corridor walls and doors and polish mirrors, room numbers, and elevator doors
  • Keep the hotel van clean and follow all food safety, sanitation, safety, and security procedures
  • Recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately
  • Promptly notify a supervisor or General Manager about needed repairs
  • Welcome guests courteously and offer directions or assistance
  • Deliver a high standard of guest service throughout the stay experience
  • Escort guests to rooms when requested, handle luggage, and deliver supplies, flowers, and packages
  • Drive guests in a company vehicle when necessary
  • Update reader boards, stock the gift shop if applicable, help set up meeting rooms, and work closely with hotel staff
  • Follow attendance expectations and remain available for scheduled shifts
  • Assist with the driver program or any other assigned hotel duties

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred
  • Prior work in hospitality or hotels is preferred

Job Requirements

  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Reliable transportation to and from work is required
  • Must be available for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Consistent and dependable attendance is required

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent simple grasping, fine hand movements, and repetitive arm and hand motions
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and often exert up to 20 pounds of force when pushing, pulling, carrying, lifting, or moving objects
  • Occasional bending, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and walking on uneven surfaces
  • Must be able to work indoors and also walk outside in changing weather, including rain, wind, snow, and heat
  • Ability to climb stairs indoors and outdoors and frequently lift 20 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
