Role overview
Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is hiring a Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor in Lusail, Qatar. This is a full-time, non-management housekeeping and laundry role based onsite. The position focuses on maintaining guestroom and public-area cleanliness standards while coordinating daily housekeeping operations and supporting team supervision.
Key duties
- Review guest rooms, public spaces, the pool area, and other cleaned areas to confirm they meet quality standards.
- Track room availability, verify room status, identify mismatches, prioritize room cleaning, and keep departing-guest rooms updated.
- Support the housekeeping department in day-to-day operations.
- Serve as a link between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry teams.
- Record room-status discrepancies and work with the Front Desk to resolve them.
- Prepare, share, and communicate updates to assignment sheets or work boards.
- Pass important information to the next shift and complete required paperwork.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, discipline, motivation, and employee development.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures, report maintenance concerns, hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete required safety training and certifications.
- Keep uniform and personal appearance neat and professional.
- Protect company property and maintain confidentiality of company-owned information.
- Support coworkers, treat everyone with dignity and respect, and help the team work toward shared goals.
- Meet quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Perform required physical activities such as quick movement, visual checks, system data entry, handling objects, reaching, bending, climbing, pushing/pulling carts, and working in tight, inclined, or uneven spaces.
- Carry out other reasonable job duties assigned by supervisors.
Required profile
- Secondary school completion or an equivalent GED credential.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 55 lb (24.75 kg) independently and more with assistance.
- Comfortable communicating clearly and professionally, listening and responding to workplace issues, and working with computers or point-of-sale systems.

Physical and operational demands
