Role overview
Iceland Foods is looking for a Home Delivery Driver in Monmouth, Wales. This is a full-time onsite position paying £13.71 per hour. The role suits someone who enjoys staying active, working independently, and interacting with customers while representing the company on the road.
As a delivery driver, you will be responsible for bringing groceries to customers safely and professionally, while also helping create a positive customer experience. You may also support store operations when needed.
Key responsibilities
- Load the van safely and follow correct manual handling practices, including handling heavier items.
- Drive responsibly and follow all safe driving procedures.
- Carry out vehicle checks before and during shifts.
- Make sure customer orders arrive in the best possible condition.
- Deliver friendly and helpful service to customers.
- Support the store team with tasks when required.
- Work on your own initiative and manage time effectively.
- Be flexible with shifts, as working hours may vary between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm.
Candidate profile
- You must hold a full driving licence for at least 3 years.
- Your licence should have no more than 6 penalty points.
- You should be upbeat, approachable, and committed to good customer service.
- Punctuality and the ability to meet deadlines are important.
- You need a strong understanding of road safety.
