Additional requirements
- A current Australian driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle that is insured and roadworthy.
- Certificate III or higher in Aged Care or Individual Support, depending on the role requirements.
Role overview
You will support aged care clients in their homes with both domestic assistance and personal care. The work includes practical household support, day-to-day personal support, and helping clients stay connected to their routines and community.
Home care duties
- Carrying out general housekeeping tasks and making beds.
- Cleaning floors by mopping and vacuuming.
- Washing, folding, and ironing laundry.
- Preparing meals and assisting with grocery shopping.
Personal care duties
- Helping clients get out of bed, shower, and dress for the day.
- Supporting clients with medication routines.
- Assisting with mobility needs and therapy goals.
- Providing higher-level care for clients with complex needs, including dementia.
- Offering social and emotional support.
- Driving clients to appointments or lifestyle activities.
- Giving family carers time to rest or attend to other responsibilities.
