This role involves the upkeep and cleaning of county highways to ensure safe and efficient transportation corridors. The position includes various maintenance tasks essential for roadway and public infrastructure preservation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform highway cleaning and maintenance activities across county roads.
- Serve as a flag person to regulate traffic flow and ensure safety during maintenance operations.
- Cut and remove overgrown limbs and bushes adjacent to roadways.
- Operate machinery such as chippers for vegetation clearing.
- Repair road surface defects including patching potholes and damaged areas.
- Patch concrete sidewalks, curbs, and conduct minor bridge repairs.
