About Templer Ward
Templer Ward, located within Newton Abbot Community Hospital, is a 30-bed facility providing specialized care. It consists of 20 beds dedicated to stroke and neuro rehabilitation patients following acute treatment, while the remaining 10 beds accommodate patients requiring general medical care and rehabilitation.
Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our proactive multidisciplinary team on a permanent full-time contract basis. The role involves assisting patients to achieve their optimal rehabilitation potential and supporting their safe discharge from hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, individualized nursing care collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Communicate effectively and independently manage your workload to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and well-being through conscientious actions.
- Adapt to a rotational schedule including day, night, and weekend shifts.
