About the Role

West London Forensic Services is inviting compassionate individuals to join as Healthcare Facilitators at St Bernard’s Hospital on Band 3 level. This role focuses on supporting individuals in medium and low secure mental health settings within the forensic service. The successful candidate will assist service users addressing various needs including physical health, psychological wellbeing, social, recreational, and spiritual care under professional supervision. The team environment emphasizes respect, dignity, and person-centered care, shaping better outcomes for those receiving support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow delegated duties under the nurse in charge, including reporting on patient conditions.
  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety within the ward environment.
  • Perform routine clerical work necessary for ward operations.
  • Provide healthcare support guided by registered staff, focusing on recovery-centric physical, psychological, social, recreational, and spiritual care.
  • Establish and sustain effective communication between service users, carers, and staff, addressing any communication challenges.
  • Engage in personal development and assist others' growth by sharing knowledge.
  • Promote and uphold health, safety, and security for self and others, including mentoring.
  • Adapt practices as needed and suggest improvements to service quality.
  • Maintain high standards in own work and advocate for equality, diversity, and rights of individuals.
