Position Summary
The Healthcare Data Analyst will play a vital role in crafting customized queries and reports, analyzing data to support clinical and operational activities, and aiding radiologists. This position demands extensive cooperation with cross-departmental personnel, clear communication, and strong technical expertise to enhance data-based clinical decisions and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reports using SQL and business intelligence tools; write queries, automate data aggregation scripts, and create interactive dashboards.
- Collaborate with leadership and various teams to plan, evaluate, and present data insights.
- Manage documentation and tracking of reporting requests and data resources; optimize analytics processes.
- Identify and interpret complex data trends and patterns.
- Design, adjust, and support custom reports utilizing MS SQL and SSRS for varying needs.
- Create compelling data visualizations using SSRS, Tableau, or comparable platforms.
- Innovate and recommend automated solutions for data reporting tasks.
- Maintain thorough technical documentation for databases, systems, and business workflows.
- Assist in reducing data inconsistencies through review and consolidation.
- Offer Tier II support and troubleshoot issues arising from different stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency with data models, database development, data mining, and segmentation methodologies.
- Solid experience in reporting tools like SSRS and Crystal Reports.
- Strong analytical abilities to accurately organize and interpret large data volumes.
- Capability in query writing, report generation, and delivering insightful findings.
- Experience with BI software such as Tableau, Tableau Next, or Power BI.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
- Knowledge of clinical systems including EHR, RIS, and PACS is a considerable asset.
- Experience with MIPS/APM analysis and reporting is beneficial.
- Understanding of compliance standards (HIPAA, PCI, ITIL) and adherence to data security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- At least three years of T-SQL experience with platforms like SQL Server or MySQL.
Work Schedule and Location
This position is full-time and onsite at our Shelton, CT office, operating Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Local applicants are preferred. Employment authorization for any US employer is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
