Overview
Bluebird Care is hiring Healthcare Assistants for opportunities in the Kilkenny and Tipperary areas. The role involves supporting clients in their own homes, with guidance available from the Clinical Governance Team as well as local office teams in Clonmel and Kilkenny. Role summary
The Healthcare Assistant supports personal care and day-to-day assistance in a client’s home. This position focuses on following each client’s care plan, carrying out assigned care tasks, and helping maintain comfort, dignity, and overall wellbeing.
Key duties
- Support clients with activities of daily living.
- Carry out all care tasks carefully and with close attention to detail.
- Deliver care in line with Bluebird Care policies and standards.
Qualifications and experience
Applicants should either hold the QQI Level 5 modules Care of the Older Person and Care Skills/Healthcare Support, or have at least one year of experience caring for others and be willing to complete those two modules.
Personal qualities
The ideal candidate should genuinely care about supporting others and be able to show kindness, compassion, and patience.
Working arrangement
This is a full-time position requiring flexibility and strong availability. The role is based onsite, as care is delivered in clients’ homes.
Pay and conditions
The salary for this position is €33,529.60 per year for a 40-hour work week.
