Job description
Role overview
KIMS Hospital is looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join the Outpatients team at Lyca Health Orpington in Kent, England. This is a part-time onsite role focused on supporting outpatient procedures and delivering high-quality patient care within a multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
Working pattern
The position is for 40 hours per week. Shifts run from Monday to Sunday, 08:00 to 20:00, on a rota basis. The successful candidate must be able to work flexibly across days, evenings, and weekends to support the department’s operating hours.
Main duties
You will assist the outpatient team with a range of clinical tasks, including wound care, phlebotomy, minor procedures, and selected gynaecology and urology procedures. The role also involves supporting treatment room activity and helping maintain smooth patient flow.
- Support treatment room work such as ECGs, blood sampling, wound dressings, and minor operations
- Chaperone patients across different specialties when required
- Show care, dignity, privacy, and respect at all times
- Keep clear and accurate records of patient care and related activity
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will already have experience working as a Healthcare Assistant or Care Assistant in a healthcare setting. You should hold an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or an equivalent qualification. A strong interest in caring for people, along with excellent written and spoken communication skills, is essential.

Salary and package
The annual salary for this role is £26,436.80.
