About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Health Information Manager / Clinical Coder to join our national team remotely. This senior position requires expert knowledge in coding across a diverse and complex casemix, supporting audit, clinical documentation improvement, and ensuring high coding quality. You will play a key role in contributing to meaningful health outcomes and supporting medical research funding through your work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced coding skills using the 13th Edition ICD-10-AM, ACHI, and Australian Coding Standards to code patient separations for multiple clients.
  • Support audits, clinical documentation reviews, and quality improvement programs related to coding accuracy.
  • Work autonomously while collaborating within a national team to maintain accuracy and standards in clinical coding.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Qualification in Health Information Management or clinical coding.
  • Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-AM, ACHI, and the Australian Coding Standards.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in clinical coding within broad and complex casemixes.
  • Experience in supporting coding quality assurance, audits, and clinical documentation enhancement.
  • Strong communication, sound judgement, and excellent time management abilities.
