Job Purpose and Role

We are seeking compassionate Health Care Assistants to join our team at Sugarloaf Care Centre in Kilmacanogue South. The role involves delivering supportive and respectful care that enables residents to maintain their daily routines and quality of life. Candidates will nurture respectful relationships with residents, emphasizing dignity and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer individualized care plans designed to improve residents’ wellness and satisfaction.
• Encourage a cooperative team environment to ensure integrated and effective service delivery.
• Create an atmosphere that adapts to the preferences and unique needs of each resident.
• Deliver personal care attentively, upholding hygiene and safety standards.
• Engage meaningfully with residents to support their emotional and social well-being.

Required and Desired Qualifications

• Experience in a nursing home setting is essential.
• Preferably hold FETAC Level 5 modules related to Care of the Elderly.
• Completion of Patient Moving and Manual Handling training is advantageous.
• At least one year of experience as a Healthcare Assistant is preferred.
