Role Overview

The Handyman will help maintain the hotel’s rooms, fixtures, equipment, and building systems by carrying out general repair and upkeep tasks. The role is based at Mercure Abu Dhabi Downtown in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Key Duties

• Carry out small repair jobs such as mending leaking taps, fixing furniture, and patching drywall.
• Perform routine checks on equipment, fittings, and building systems to catch issues early.
• Handle basic plumbing work, including leak repairs, drain clearing, and fixture replacement.
• Resolve minor electrical issues such as replacing bulbs or switches.
• Complete painting and touch-up work to keep the hotel looking well maintained.
• Do simple carpentry repairs or replacements for wooden items and fittings.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to guest maintenance requests.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while completing maintenance tasks.
