Job Summary
Player 15 Group, the sports and entertainment entity behind the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, and Valley Suns, is seeking a motivated Part-Time Guest Services Representative. This role is crucial for delivering a world-class guest experience at the Mortgage Matchup Center, focusing on guest welfare and safety during events. The position requires outstanding customer service, acting as an information specialist, and professionally assisting guests with inquiries and requests. You will be responsible for greeting and thanking guests upon arrival and departure.
Your Role on the Team

- Provide a welcoming and courteous experience for all guests, creatively solving issues while maintaining professionalism.
- Consistently deliver a personal venue experience that surpasses guest expectations through sound judgment and common sense, without compromising safety and security.
- Serve as an information specialist, possessing comprehensive knowledge of the arena and events to address guest questions effectively.
- Inspect assigned areas before and during events, identifying potential hazards and implementing necessary precautions, including responding to and assisting with medical and emergency situations.
- Verify credentials and scan tickets for entry, directing guests to appropriate locations.
- Report all facility issues and housekeeping needs to supervisors and/or security.
- Enforce event policies to ensure the safety and security of all attendees.
- Operate and monitor escalators and elevators to guarantee guest safety.
- Document incidents clearly and concisely in written reports.
- Monitor, patrol, and respond to alarms and emergency situations within and around the Arena.
- Utilize radio equipment, tablets, and handheld ticketing and communication devices.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work in various posts and locations based on operational demands.
Your Skills and Experience
- Possess extensive knowledge of the organization, Arena, event operations, seating arrangements, key venue personnel, policies, and emergency procedures.
- Project a friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor, maintaining a neat and well-groomed appearance at all times.
- Communicate effectively with diverse populations, exhibiting strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Interact professionally and effectively with staff, supervisors, and the public, collaborating to achieve desired outcomes.
- Accurately read and scan tickets to ensure their authenticity.
- Respond appropriately and effectively during emergencies and high-stress situations.
- Maintain order and ensure compliance with all safety and security policies.
- Demonstrate basic technological proficiency, including operating and troubleshooting radios, tablets, and handheld ticketing devices.
- Confidently and independently apply service recovery techniques.
