Role overview
The Ritz-Carlton, Perth is looking for a Guest Arrival Captain to serve as the first point of contact for guests and visitors, helping create a polished and welcoming arrival experience. This position is part of the Rooms & Guest Services Operations team and is based at 1 Barrack Street, Perth, Western Australia, 6000. It is a full-time, non-management role and is not remote.
What this role involves
- Welcome guests and visitors warmly as they arrive at the hotel.
- Escort guests to their rooms and support them during arrival and departure.
- Open doors and assist people entering or leaving the property.
- Share information about hotel amenities, services, operating hours, and nearby attractions or activities.
- Explain room features clearly to guests.
- Monitor and manage traffic and movement at the hotel driveway.
- Assign parking and baggage support tasks to the porter/valet team.
- Move guest luggage to and from rooms or the bell area, and help with storage and collection when needed.
- Assist guests in and out of vehicles, including handling luggage loading and unloading.
- Provide directions and support to guests and visitors as required.
- Arrange transportation for guests and keep advance transport requests on record.
- Explain parking rules and procedures to guests and visitors.
Skills and experience
- Previous customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong guest-service mindset and a genuine passion for helping people.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certification from a nationally accredited provider.
- I’m Alert Food Safety Certification from the City of Perth.
- Unrestricted legal right to work in Australia.
