Job description
Role overview
We are looking for a Growth Operations Manager to take full ownership of a platform budget that supports order generation and partner liquidity. This position plays a key role in improving order growth, strengthening commercial partnerships, and increasing overall platform efficiency.
You will oversee a multi-million QAR monthly budget across the Account Management function, creating clear processes that guide spend decisions in a strategic and transparent way. The role requires balancing liquidity needs, merchant partnerships, and advertising revenue while ensuring every funding decision is backed by data and ROI thinking. This is an individual contributor position that reports directly to the GM of Food, and you will have final approval responsibility for funding requests.
The main objective is to replace inconsistent, ad-hoc spending with a disciplined system that can scale and deliver measurable outcomes.
Key focus areas
- Manage the monthly co-funding budget and hold final approval authority over allocation decisions.
- Evaluate co-funding requests from Account Managers and approve or decline them based on strategic importance and return on investment.
- Create fair, transparent allocation rules that weigh liquidity, commercial impact, and equity across merchants.
- Monitor actual spend against budget on a weekly basis, identify gaps quickly, and adjust allocations in real time when needed.
- Work toward improving spend efficiency by 15% to 20% within the first 3 months.
- Build a co-funding request and approval workflow from the ground up within 30 to 60 days.
- Define decision rules such as maximum funding percentages, merchant tiering, and spending limits for Account Managers.
- Develop clear guidance on when to fully fund versus co-fund, and how to prioritize high-value merchants.
- Maintain daily and live oversight of funding activity to ensure accountability.
- Set up weekly reporting dashboards for the GM, including ROI analysis and merchant funding uplift.
- Document the operating model so the process can function without constant GM intervention.
- Support Account Managers by explaining the co-funding approach, rules, and constraints.
- Challenge inefficient requests and back decisions with data-driven reasoning.
- Coordinate with Sales and Operations on important co-funding priorities such as new launches, churn recovery, and high-value zones.
- Provide the GM with a weekly update covering budget position, trade-offs, and improvement opportunities.
What success in this role looks like
You will bring structure to a complex budgeting environment, build a decision-making framework from scratch, and create a system that scales with minimal dependency on leadership. The role requires strong judgment, speed, and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
