Group Accountant

Role Overview

An international and expanding company is looking to strengthen its Group Accounting team in Munich with both junior and experienced accountants eager to grow their expertise in consolidated accounting within a corporate group setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of individual and consolidated financial statements in accordance with HGB standards.
• Participation in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Coordination and support of the group audit process as well as cooperation with external auditors.
• Analysis and quality assurance of reporting packages from international subsidiaries.
• Execution of consolidation entries and reconciliation of complex accounting issues.
• Assistance in integrating new companies into the group financial statements.
• Improving accounting and closing procedures.
• Supporting finance and digitalization initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field with a focus on accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles under German HGB.
• Experience in group accounting or auditing is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Lucanet software is preferred.
• Background in a Big Four auditing firm is a plus but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of IFRS is beneficial and can be developed further within the company.
• Excellent command of German and good English language skills.
• Structured and analytical approach with an interest in complex accounting topics.
